Join a lively and friendly three day creativity workshop in the rural springtime of Southwest France. Whether you've always wanted to draw, or have lots of drawing practice, or are a non-drawing friend who just wants to come along - everyone is welcome!

 

This Creative Drawing Workshop focuses on looking and experimentation – drawing, after all, is mostly about seeing. It's a chance to have a go and take time to practice, because no matter how experienced, we struggle to make time for it. You'll work as a group and also on your own. It's a short workshop - an introduction to some techniques, and approaches, including colour work. There are opportunities to work outside and in the conservatory/studio.

Janis has an MA in Fine Art and Adult Ed. teaching qualifications, and has been a professional artist and art tutor for over 30 years. Her mission is to promote the importance of creativity. She believes everyone is creative – just value it, discover where it's buried and release it!

When you don't have your sleeves rolled up to draw, you can relax, enjoy great wine and food. Joy and Daren are passionate about food and local produce, and you may get to know the wandering chickens who offer their eggs. You can also enjoy the quiet spaces (12 acres) and lovely views. Further afield Lauzun is walking distance away, and lively Eymet market is good for sketching and photography. We plan for a meal out together (with sketchbooks!) at a popular local restaurant.

There will be 6 to 10 workshop participants plus non-participating friends in the four charming gites. You might like to extend your stay before or after the workshop, check for availability. Not included in this Offer - travel to France, airport/train collection (see Travel section for costs), personal expenses.
